Presentation at the museum of the project El Palomar results, Fons, armari i figura per Ismael Smith which was awarded with a scholarship in 2015 by Sala d’Art Jove and the Museu Nacional, inside the framework of the exhibition Ismael Smith, the beauty and the monsters.
After two years of investigation and formalization, we are presented with an edition in an artistic box format limited to 100 exemplars. It includes a large number of collaborations and multiple content like interviews, essays, poetry, songs, performances, diagrams, posters and reproductions of unpublished works, that turns around the peculiar Modernist artist, Smith, as well as his social and cultural context. It emphasises in transcendent aspects such as gender and sexuality. The authors of the project also talk about their intentions and the process to make it happen, unfolding the contents of the box-publication and with a screening for the first time of the resulting documentary.
