The cultural mediators advise the users during their visit, offering general and specific information about the museum's collection. This personalized attention service is designed to help the visitors connect with the collection and to enjoy their stay at the museum.
The mediators make proposals and recommendations so that the visitors can get the most out of their visit (depending on the audience, their interests and the time they have) and help them in locating works in the collection, with explanations about the different styles and periods, etc. They also provide information about the building (the Palau Nacional), the Montjuïc hill and general information about the museum (opening hours, floorplans, services offered, mediation tools available, etc.).
The museum has different points of cultural mediation: two on the ground floor, in the foyer and in the Oval Hall, and one on the first floor, in the Dome Hall.
