Description:
Virgin made of copper with very unusual applications of enamel. Originally it was formed by two fitted pieces, which only preserves the front. It is not then a figure of appliqué. Both arms seem to be independent pieces, welded. The Child is worked in a separated way, also on the base of two fitted pieces that leave the empty interior. Both the crown of the Virgin and the Child (currently lost) were independent pieces fixed with small nails. The Virgin is represented as Sedes Sapientiae, or Seat of Wisdom, with the Child slightly wrongly placed and blessing with the right hand.
