The board of trustees of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, gathered on April 6, decided unanimously to renew their trust in the museum’s director, Pepe Serra, for 5 more years. To these effects the appropriate proposal has been send to the Govern de la Generalitat.

Pepe Serra (Barcelona, 1969) took the management of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya on January 2012, through an international tender. The rules of the tender already foretold the possibility of renewal.

 The board of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, made by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Ministeri de Cultura, and presided over by Miquel Roca, has valued especially the creativity of the director, the results of his management and his capacity to project the museum in the Catalan area, the State and Internationally.
