On 14 December, the MNAC will host the masterclass Memory vs. Forgetting by renowned illustrator Paco Roca, organised in collaboration with Escola Joso, Centre de Còmic i Arts Visuals, as part of the exhibition Ink Against Hitler.
Paco Roca is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary comics, winner of the 2008 National Comic Award, and known for works such as Los surcos del azar, La casa, and El invierno del dibujante, in which he addresses themes such as historical memory, exile, and the consequences of war. His sensitive and committed perspective has helped make comics a space for reflection on the past and the human condition.
This activity forms part of the museum’s strategic line addressing the representation of war and conflict as one of the essential axes for understanding contemporary art and memory. This masterclass invites attendees to reflect on the power of drawing as a vehicle for memory and critical expression.
To enhance your experience, we encourage you to visit the exhibition before the session.
