Description:

Pieces with singular biographies, a unique and exclusive opportunity to discover the historical trajectory and the journeys that some of the pieces of the museums have gone through, via a series of 6 visits at different museums of the city: the MUHBA, the Museu Frederic Marès, the Museu de la Música, the Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.

The visit will take place at the Museu Nacional, on Tuesday April 9 and Thursday April 11, with the tittle From underground to high above, and it will allow us to discover –from a selection of the Renaissance and Baroque collection artworks- how certain modern artists, with their interest, stylish taste and sensitivity, they contributed to enrich the artistic Catalan heritage. We will learn of the vicissitudes and anecdotes that lived and star in people like: Ramon Casas, Alexandre de Riquer, Gaspar Homar or Lluís Masriera. Conference by Francesc Quílez Corella, Collections coordinator, and Joan Yeguas, Renaissance and Baroque curator.
