Description:

As part of our annual International Women’s Day program, on March 9 we'll screen Callisto McNulty’s feature film Delphine et Carole about the actions carried out by actress Delphine Seyrig and video artist Carole Roussopoulos. Through the camera, they became involved in the feminist struggle of the 1970s with insolence, intransigence and a lot of humor. This film describes a period of the history of feminism and traces the beginnings of an artistic political practice that used audacity, humor and subversion to encourage collective action, media intervention and archival documentation.
