World Heritage Day is celebrated on 16th November, and two days later we screened this documentary on the salvaging of heritage during the Spanish Civil War. The Republican government created the Artistic Treasury Defence Board in order to preserve the works of the Prado Museum and to prevent its destruction during the conflict.
Awarded in the section of the Time of History of the Seminci of Valladolid (The Cinema Week), the film tells the adventures of the transfer of the works, in the 1,868 boxes that had to cross half Spain and part of Europe, to remain out of danger.
