INSTITUT CONSELL DE CENT

IES CONSELL DE CENT is a state secondary school that began operating in the 1996/97 academic year, in the Poble-sec neighbourhood, close to the Port of Barcelona.

The education and personal development of young people are the fundamental pillars of its educational work. The school offers a modern and up-to-date educational programme, with engaging and practical activities that make use of innovative resources, as well as cultural activities, including outings and study trips, to provide students with a well-rounded education.

Among the school’s distinctive features are a specialised Baccalaureate programme in Urban Art and its role as a hub school for deaf students (PSAL). Students receive educational support from the school’s educational psychologists and speech and language therapists from CREDAC, while Catalan Sign Language is also incorporated to provide fuller access to information and learning.
