Some reflections about the great masters of European painting.

Some reflections about the great masters of European painting.

Beginning the season today with commentary on the work Guitarist or The Spanish Singer by Édouard Manet

Taking as a point of departure some of the works in the exhibition Great Masters of European Painting from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, from el Greco to Cézanne, we invite you to rediscover a selection of these universal artists with the help of specialists. The lectures, lasting about 30 minutes, will be held at 6. 30 p.m. in Temporary Exhibitions Room 1. As places are limited, we recommend booking your place by calling 93 622 03 75 or sending an email to [email protected].

By way of a suggestion, before the lectures you can get an overall idea of the exhibition by taking advantage of the guided visits arranged on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5.30 p.m. (the guided visits are free and are provided also on Saturday, mornings and afternoons, in Catalan and Spanish. Consult schedules on the webpage www.mnac.es).
