The MNAC could not be missing from the Rusiñol Year, being celebrated this year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the death of this artist, one of the most versatile personalities in the history of Catalan art; over time, he has become one of the maximum representatives of artistic modernity. For this reason, on April 24th the exhibition Drawings by Santiago Rusiñol (1866-1932) is opening to the public. It will allow us to discover an important collection of drawings from the MNAC’s Cabinet of Drawings and Prints by this painter, poster artist and man of letters, who in this case reveals to us his facet as a draughtsman. The show, part of the permanent collection, includes 30 drawings selected from more than 50 which are conserved in the Cabinet of Drawings and Prints, and allows us to take a look at the main periods of Rusiñol’s artistic activity.
