Sala 83
Sala 83
Sala 83 is a project for reinterpreting the collection through the eyes of contemporary artist David Bestué. You rediscover the museum’s collection through his gaze and through the creation of a "new room" in the educArt area.
We have planned an epilogue of the presentation of the museum’s collection in which a heterodox summary is made of forms, materials and elements inspired by those in the permanent exhibition, but shown simultaneously, avoiding chronological presentation. One of the project’s most obvious points of reference are the collages that Francis Picabia made in the 1920s in which he compared objects in the collection with scenes from his period. The objective is for you to think that this display is yet another room in the museum’s collection, the last one, hence its title: Sala 83. The last room in the museum is number 82.
