Machine for minting coinage, moved by hydraulic or animal traction, used from the 16th century. The manufacturing procedure consisted in passing a metal sheet between two cylinders, which had the images of the coins engraved on them. Later, the sheet was cut, following the images, in accordance with the diameter assigned to the piece.
