Pere Llobera (Barcelona, 1970) combines his artistic practice in figurative and conceptual painting with exhibition curating and other forms of artistic collaboration.

His diverse background ranges from an unfinished Fine Arts degree at the Universitat de Barcelona and studies in the history and aesthetics of cinematography in Valladolid during the 1990s, to a residency at the renowned Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2006 and 2007.

He has taken part in numerous group exhibitions nationally and internationally. His most recent solo exhibitions include At the Cabinets at Museum Voorlinden in The Hague (2019); Acció at Bombón Projects gallery in Barcelona (2018); and Mecanismos del Humor at F2 Gallery in Madrid (2023).

In Barcelona, he has collaborated with institutions such as the MNAC (Espai Educart), Fundació Miró (Do it yourself) and CaixaForum (Entre la axila y la palma de la mano); and was curator of the 2020/2021 programme at Espai 13, Fundació Miró.

It is also worth highlighting his work outside the commercial circuit, as demonstrated by exhibitions such as Palacio ¿REAL?, held in an industrial warehouse in L’Hospitalet (2015), or the intervention at the Prior’s House in Barcelona entitled VERA ICON (2016), within the curatorial framework of Generaciones.

He has recently published his book HURRAH FOR ANYTHING with Terranova and it is currently being distributed.
