Moneda i exèrcits. III Curs d'Història monetària del GNC
Coins and Armies. A synthesis of the lectures of the III Course on the Monetary History of Hispania (November 25 and 26, 1999), 'Coins and Armies'. The lectures analyzed different aspects of the relationship between power, armies, and coins: the cost of troops, coin issues destined to financing troop costs, how monetary designs were used to spread army images, which role coins play in times of civil war, and even how coins were used in soldiers' day-to-day dealings. Thus it is interesting to learn about how the stamped metal was saved or how it was used to acquire the things soldiers needed, a process in which coins were transferred from the hands of the army into civilians' hands.
