Francesca Llopis
The Museu Nacional presents the work Dins per dins (Inside in) by the artist Francesca Llopis (Barcelona, 1956), an intervention consisting of a video with music by Barbara Held and percussion by Pilar Subirà, and a set of photographs, made by the artist in the Casa Gomis Bertrand, known as La Ricarda, located in El Prat de Llobregat. The house was designed by the architect Antoni Bonet Castellana between 1953 and 1963 and is one of the jewels of modern architecture in the second half of the 20th century.
In the video by Francesca Llopis, a series of "performers" dressed in black establish a dialogue in movement with the architecture of the house, sometimes mysterious, sometimes humorous, and always poetic.
The work can be seen from 9 November, as part of the Loop Festival, in room 81 bis of Modern Art, dedicated to post-war and second avant-garde art. In the same room, the museum is presenting three works that it has just added to its collection and which have not been exhibited until now. They are two pieces by Moisès Villèlia and one by Magda Bolumar, corresponding to the period when both artists, in close collaboration with Antoni Bonet, devised the decoration of the Casa Gomis Bertrand.
From November 9, 2021 to March 20, 2022.
Venue: room 81 bis of modern art.
Included at the museum entrance. Free with the entrance to the Loop Festival.
