Description:

Catalogue that accompanied the exhibition of works by a lineage of artists who were originally silversmiths , branching out over several decades into painting, drawing, music, architecture, literary creation, history and set design, but above all else excelling as silversmiths and jewellers. This book features three articles on three members of this family, Francesc, Josep, and Lluís (the first two, painters, and the third, jeweller). The most outstanding biographical data on this lineage follow, as well as everything around it and, to round things out, a selection of articles on the other creative aspects also explored by this turn-of-the-century Catalan family, though not as well-known by the public at large: set design, dramaturgy, foundry, etc.; then an extensive bibliography, and, for those interested, a separately bound English translation of the catalogue texts, sold independently.
