Description:
During the 1930s Cristòfol was connected with local avant-garde groups in Lleida and in 1936 he took part in the surrealist exhibition known by the name of Logicophobist and held at the Catalònia Art Gallery in Barcelona. On the basis of some of the postulates of the leaders of Surrealism, Cristòfol attached special importance to reject materials and objects and those taken from his everyday surroundings, which he incorporated into the realm of sculpture and raised to the category of a work of art.
