This high relief has been associated with two more sculptures identified as two Marys. Despite the common provenance, originally they must have formed part of different works. They were found in the chapel in the cemetery of Barcelona cathedral, known as Montjuïc del Bisbe. In the 18th century, this chapel was included in the new church of Sant Felip Neri, Barcelona.
