Description:
Jaume Sans was one of the group of young artists in 1930s Barcelona who embraced avant-garde postulates in the face of the dominant artistic practice, which favoured figurative art rooted in Noucentisme. In this sense, the mark of international surrealism was decisive. In 1936, the Logicophobist Exhibition was held, the first surrealist show to be held in Spain, which showed the support of young artists for the theoretical and artistic postulates of the group led by André Breton: Camagüey is one of the most successful examples of this.
