Activities for all audiences these Christmas vacations!

Temporary exhibitions:

A painting and collage workshop: Panoramic landscapes, with the artist Julia Pelletier: 18, 29 and 30 of December, and 3, 4 and 5 of January, from 11 to 13 h, in the educArt space. Free entry.

Commented Visit: Picasso in the museum: 17, 27 and 28 of December, and 3 and 4 of January, at 10.30 and 12.30 h. This activity is included in the exhibition's entry.

Concert from the Child’s Choir of l’Orfeó Català who will perform themes from the opera Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck and the usual Christmas carols: 18 of December, at 12h, in the Sala Oval. Free entry.

Afternoon of cinema and circus for the whole family, with the projection of short films by Segundo de Chomón and circus numbers inspired by the filmmaker’s imaginary by l’Ateneu Popular 9 Barris: 27 of December, from 18 to 19.30 h, in the Sala Oval. Free entry.

Come see for free the mural "Identitats" by BToy with the students of IES Lluís Domènech i Montaner, that you'll find in the space attached to the Sala Oval.

You can also put your hats on with your family and grab paper and pencil to solve The enigmas of the Museu Nacional while you visit the rooms of Romanesque art and Gothic art and, at home, you can browse through the virtual exhibition Christmas time, Christmas carols, and see how Christmas cards have evolved with time.

 

Christmas’ opening hours
We inform you that, because of the Christmas holydays, the museum will close its doors during the 25th and 26th of December and the 1st of January. The rest of the days, the opening hours will remain the same as usual: Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sundays and public holidays from 10am to 3pm.
