Christmas at MNAC
This Christmas, on 27, 28, 29 and 30 December, eight activities await you at the MNAC in which to play and have fun with art! The Oval Hall will be turned into a playspace in which different artistic disciplines will be mixed, like painting, dance, literature or films, but always from a playful perspective so that children can put the artist within them to the test. You will be able to dance in the silent discotheque, turn yourself into a character from some of the paintings in the MNAC or explore sustainable sculpture.
At the MNAC, art can not only be seen in the exhibition rooms, but you will also be able touch it with the activity “Sketches of sculptures”.
Dress up as your favourite character in the MNAC’s collection and turn yourselves into a work of art.
Do you know the fairy tales Little Red Riding Hood, Ali Baba or The Three Little Pigs?
Small children will be able to explore a variety of unstructured materials that are natural in origin, like wood or cloth, in the free space corner
Discover the seraphim, winged beings covered in eyes that often appear in the Romanesque art collection of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
The Museum has exhibition rooms, a cafeteria, a shop, a viewpoint... and, this Christmas, it will also have a discotheque!
The continuous activities are on from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 to 6 pm. Take advantage of this break to have lunch in the Museum’s cafeteria, where you will find a special menu for these days. You can also visit the Museum’s collection or the temporary exhibitions What Humanity? and The Pere Formiguera Donation: The Creative Drive. Or go up to the Rooftop-Viewpoint and take a selfie with one of the best views of Barcelona!
Tickets cost 6 € (for both adults and children), but if you wish to come on all four days admission costs 10 €. If you do it this way, other discounts are not applicable.
With your ticket you will have reductions in the Shop, 5 % in books and 10 % in other articles, and in the Cafeteria, 5 %, except in the menus.
