The museum reopens to the public two viewpoint terraces with panoramic views of Barcelona never seen before

Date range:
01/08/2023

On 12th August, the MNAC reopens to the public the two viewpoint terraces, on the roofs of the Palau Nacional, which allow you to enjoy panoramic views, until now little seen, of the city of Barcelona. The visit allows you to enjoy a 360-degree view of the city and see the main buildings and monuments that make up the Barcelona skyline: from the Sagrada Família to the Torre Glòries, the buildings of the Vil·la Olímpica and the facilities that form part of the Olympic Ring.

A large part of the roof can be visited by the public, who will be able to circulate, by means of a footbridge, which is twenty metres high, between the towers and the emblematic domes of the Palau Nacional, from the viewpoint of the main façade, oriented towards the Avinguda Maria Cristina, to the second viewpoint, located above the gardens of the Palauet Albéniz, where you can find the large spotlights that have illuminated the sky of the city of Barcelona since the construction of the building.

  • The visit is included in the admission ticket to the museum.
  • Unfortunately, people with reduced mobility will not be able to complete the tour.
