The patronage campaign Fem biblioteca, fem museu, launched by the Friends helps to update the bibliographic collection of a centenary library open to everyone

The campaign for the acquisition of new books launched by the Friends of the Museum has closed with the participation of 73 patrons who have donated 73 books to the Joaquim Folch i Torres library of the Museu Nacional. This campaign, which has raised €2,300, has made it possible to improve and update the collection of a century-old library, specialising in art and open to everyone, which contains more than 134,000 monograph titles and almost 4,000 magazine titles.

The books that have been acquired are mostly on subjects related to the museum's collection, art and Catalan heritage. Also of note are titles dealing with the works of women artists, photography and other related fields, such as museology.

During the donation ceremony, which took place yesterday afternoon, the Friends identified the books donated to the Library with a special bookplate with their names on it.
