Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion is the slogan that museums have chosen this year to celebrate their day, 18th May, thinking of four important goals for sustainable development: reducing inequalities in general and especially gender equality, climate action, peace and justice.

The extraordinary circumstances we are experiencing this May has meant that the International Museum Day should be virtual and the possibility of celebrating it, as always, in a festive way moves to November, with an open-doors day and a programme of activities that will show the potential of museums to be agents of social change and address complex issues, such as diversity and inclusion.

On 18th May the proposals of the Museu Nacional include activities for all audiences, young and old, from a live visit to the paintings from Sant Climent de Taüll to comments on works, storytelling for families, jigsaw puzzles, a memory game and other online resources.
