The Museum has also acquired three oils that were on loan.

Thanks to this generous donation, which the Museum presented this morning with the presence of Gabriel Gómez, the artist's son, the MNAC becomes the reference institution for the artistic work of Helios Gómez, a key figure in Catalan avant-garde art. The donated collection includes 6 oils, 27 drawings, and a book, all coming from the personal collection that the artist kept in his possession. The Museum has also acquired the three oils currently displayed in the galleries dedicated to Surrealism and the Spanish Civil War. The Museum now has a broad representation of the artist's creative works, from the 1920s to the 1950s post-war period.

Pere Serra, director of the National Museum, has expressed his gratitude to Gabriel Gómez for this extraordinary donation, which significantly enriches the collection.
