Apel·les Fenosa 1899-1988
Apel·les Fenosa 1899-1988

Exhibition catalogue relating to the sculpture works by Apel·les Fenosa on view at MNAC's Museu d'Art Modern from June 16 to August 22, 1999. The book is composed of eight articles, accompanied by a listing of works, treating such topics as Fenosa's relationship with literature, music, peace, mythology or metamorphoses, and how these different areas became themes of his sculptural works. The catalogue also shows the evolution of the artist's career, his catalanist spirit, autonomy, his stay in Paris and his encounters with Picasso, who followed Fenosa's work closely. To round it out, the catalogue includes a careful chronology, an exhaustive bibliography, and the translations of the articles and the chronology into Spanish and French.
