The Modern Art Collection has a new work: a settee/cabinet designed by Gaspar Homar, a key figure of Modernisme. This work complements the magnificent collection of decorative arts kept at the museum. The item was part of the furnishing of the home of the industrialist Vicenç Bosch, manufacturer of the well-known 'Anís del Mono'.

The work is of exceptional quality and was made during the period of Homar's greatest creative quality. The centre of this furnishing is presided by a magnificent marquetry panel with a picture of nymphs dancing in the forest.

The work came to the museum on permanent loan from Badalona Town Council.
