Description:
Eduard Vallès, Head of Collections at the MNAC, and Mercè Balda Rey, teacher, writer, and great-grandniece of José Luís Rey Vila, Sim, discuss the artist and his highly personal testimony of the Spanish Civil War, experienced on the streets of the city of Barcelona.
Sim’s drawings, recently incorporated into the museum’s collection, form a chronicle of the conflict of remarkable quality and expressiveness.
