Presentation of the exhibition “Som Paisatge" (We are landscape)
Presentation of the exhibition “Som Paisatge" (We are landscape)
16th May 2023, from 5.30 to 7pm
Activity free of charge with limited capacity
During the 2022-23 academic year, Pía Sommer has been working with a group of 2nd year ESO students from the Institut Sants as part of the EN RESiDÈNCiA Programme. The creation process, which has been developed between the educational centre and the Museu Nacional, culminates in this double presentation, the exhibition and the action of the experimental choir.
The proposal presents a journey and moves through the architecture of these two spaces and the auditory landscape that connects them, through a tour around the city. The exhibition aims to show, through the poetry and games, how image and sound reveal a possible narrative about the experience of transferring and representing the visual and sound textures that we inhabit daily. The students themselves have boosted this imagery, guided by the artist, who has lived and unwoven her work while transforming it through the hours of work in the classroom and in the museum.
Furthermore, the experimental chorus Laboratory of a dialogued voice – a title created by the students through a game of chance - is a small and initial sample of how phonetic poetry enters this process of residence as one more of the projects to be transformed within the practices of Pía Sommer.
Art, games, poetry, drifts, sound, visuality and thought, among others, make up the circuit of this proposal.
Carried out within the framework of the 14th edition of Creators EN RESiDÈNCiA in the institutes of Barcelona, a programme of the Institute of Culture of Barcelona and the Education Consortium of Barcelona, devised in cooperation with the A Bao A Qu Association.
