Within the framework of the Viu Montjuïc festival, the Institut del Teatre and Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya  present a creative and exciting dance show, created in collaboration with the students of the Professional Dance Conservatory (CPD) of the Institut del Teatre . Let’s move the hill will take place on an outdoor stage and in the Oval Hall of the MNAC, the large public space of the Museum which is also the setting for numerous shows, activities and artistic installations of very diverse formats and characteristics

Let’s move the hill transforms into a mosaic the key concepts of creativity, movement, bodies in space, well-being and especially the relationship between the body and nature, one of the themes that articulate the programme of activities of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.

Each dancer will become a poet of movement, evoking the memory of the body and exploring the possibilities of its expression in harmony with the music and the environment.

The students from 4th to 6th year of the Conservatory will offer various pieces of their own creation in Spanish dance, classical dance and contemporary dance, the three specialties studied at the CPD, through proposals performed in groups, duets or solos. This activity is an excellent opportunity for the country's future professional dancers to develop their creativity through their own artistic products.

The performances, of approximately 30 minutes, will take place at 3 pm and 4 pm on the outdoor stage of the museum, and at 5 pm in the Oval Room. In each of the performances you can see different choreographies of the three dance specialties.

Let’s move the hill is a transformative journey through the boundaries of the art of dance, inviting the viewer to experience the joy and freedom of movement in its purest state.
