Description:

As part of the MNAC programme Art, War and Memory, and in collaboration with Escola Joso, we propose a creative family workshop that invites participants to reflect on conflict and peace through art.

Led by Carlos Chávez, the workshop begins with a brief introduction to war posters, their visual language and the basic elements of composition. Afterwards, families will move on to action by creating their own poster as a collective cry for peace.

The work will be based on collage, using details from artworks exhibited in the museum, which will be freely combined to build an image with its own meaning. As a final step, participants will be able to intervene in the poster using painting techniques such as tempera or wax crayons, giving it a personal and expressive touch.

A workshop to create, talk and express yourselves as a family, transforming images from the past into messages of peace for the present.

Activity recommended for children aged 7 and up.
