The Raimon Casellas Collection. The exhibit presented a selection of the more than 4000 drawings and nearly 400 engravings representing the work of the 250 artists that compose the Casellas Collection. This catalogue companion to the exhibit constitutes a tribute to Raimon Casellas, art critic, modernista man of letters, and stellar example of Catalonia's tradition of erudite art collecting. It opens with a series of articles examining Casellas in relation to Modernisme, to art collecting, to scenery design, as well as his role as art critic and theorist. Following these, a detailed catalogue on the works displayed, a set of illustrations, an interesting study on the evolution of paper and the watermarks in the Casellas collection, and a chronology of the life of this scholar. The catalogue concludes with short biographies of the draughtsmen represented in the exhibit and an index of the authors of the artworks featured.
