Saint John the Baptist; Saint Fabian and Saint Sebastian
This three panels, with Saint John the Baptist, Saint Fabian and Saint Sebastian, come from an altarpiece dedicated to Saint John requested to Miguel Xinénez in 1494 by the brotherhood of St. John of the monastery of Sigena. It's been suggested that the three panels could have made up a triptych, or maybe the central part of a larger altarpiece. It's been related, for example, to other panels dedicated to Saint John that came from the same monastery of Sigena and attributed to a later master than Ximénez, that at present are conserved at the Museo de Zaragoza and the Museo de Huesca. Other times, it has also been considered that belongs to this set a Calvary that is conserved at the museum (MNAC/MAC 15807).
