Incense boat from Besalú

Print
Description:

Incense boat of limousin type that was used for keeping incense. Both pieces of the cover are decorated by an application of blue enamel at the bottom and vegetable motives left in reservation. It presents six cabochoning set, of greenish tonality, and two medallions in soaked relief, in the center of which a fantastic animal appears. The combination of these two types, relatively strange in this type of pieces, lend to the small incense boat a notable distinction.
