On Saturday, April 12, we want to celebrate the first edition of Comunidad 360º, a project that takes a community-based approach to exploring the territories surrounding the museum within a 360-degree radius. This year, 2024-2025, we are starting with the neighborhoods of Sants, La Marina, and Poble-sec, in collaboration with civic centers, organizations, artists, and various community participation spaces.  

 

Looking ahead to 2029 and the expansion of the MNAC, this first edition is based on the idea of a museum-home: a space of refuge and calm, but also of action and transformation through art. We have worked on gastronomy through artistic techniques and shared dialogue around the collection; on museum artworks as windows for play and imagination; on knowledge passed from elders to youth and vice versa, and on popular memories through photography.  

 

 

- Open house, except in the Zurbarán (super)natural exhibition.

- Exhibition “The Open House” in Room 82, showcasing the traces of this community work with Sants, La Marina, and Poble-sec.  

- A community celebration from 11 AM to 6 PM in the Oval Hall, featuring creative spaces open to all and performances by local musical groups:  

 

 

- Cyanotype workshop with Tomás Russi.  

- Shadow theater workshop with Cía. La Bayka.  

- Family play area.  

 

- Awa pa los Calvos (fusion of flamenco, funk, and electronic music).  

 

 

- Photography workshop with Juan González del Cerro.  

- Ceramics workshop with La Gloria Factoría.  

- Family play area.  

- Music and dance:  

  - Hip-hop freestyle jam with Soul Lab.  

  - Concert by La Grooveria (Caribbean and African sounds blended with jazz, rap, afrobeat, highlife, cumbia, and boogaloo rhythms).
