Suffering and surviving war: footprint, grief and resilience
Beyond the reports of battles, warlike exploits, and victory songs, war is above all a legacy of death and destruction. It makes a profound, severe impact on the lives of many people. What footprint does it leave on those who survive war? And on those who have lost loved ones? Is it possible to overcome the grief and resume normal life?
With the participation of Txell Feixas, a journalist for TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio who has been TV3’s correspondent in Lebanon and the Middle east; Carlos Martín Beristain, a doctor and psychologist, expert in psychosocial care for victims of armed conflicts and human rights violations, and Àlex Mitrani, curator of the exhibition.
The museum is starting a free crèche service, no booking needed, in the health space, for boys and girls aged 3 to 12.
A future without war?
War, despite the changes it has undergone, is still with us.
What is it and what does it mean? How has it evolved? What role does it play in our world? Is a world without wars possible? Do we do enough to achieve it? Or must we resign ourselves to suffer it forever?
