3 January: Montserrat Negre

This story is about Montserrat Negre i Queralt, a restorer and a pioneer in the introduction to the country of new techniques and materials in the restoration and conservation of paper. As a very young girl Montserrat lived among papers and books. She loved touching them, archiving them and looking after them so much that she devoted herself to investigating how to take care of them, becoming a “doctor of books and documents”.
