On Saturday 6 May, at 11 am, you have a date with the photographer Mònica Roselló, who will present a tour of the exhibition Mey Rahola: The New Photographer, accompanied by the curators Roser Cambray and Roser Martínez, offering a particular view of the artist. The tour will be complemented with a discussion afterwards in which they will talk about Rahola’s technical boldness and the role of female photographers in the context of the photographic Avant-garde.

Mònica Roselló, gained a bachelor’s degree in Image from the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Fine Arts and she completed her training in design at the Elisava School in Barcelona. In the 1980s she began her career as a photographer in the fields of advertising and architecture, and she developed projects both personal and in the fields of teaching and artistic mediation. The exhibitions and installations that are most representative of her personal work include: “L’armari de l’Arquitecte”, an installation that speaks of the act of creation in architecture (Museu d’art de Girona, RIP Arles 1996); “Rear window”, a visual view of intimacy through windows (Ombres Blanches. Toulouse, 1998); “Reading Between Streets”, about the importance of the use of the public space as a key for communication (Art Institute of Chicago, 2004), and "Registres pendents", a reflection on the mechanisms of memory construction (Can Manyé, Alella,2021. Can Marfà. Museu de Mataró,2022), among others.
