2023 Programming
2023 Programming
The programme for 2023 consolidates and represents very clearly and in the form of numerous projects the line of work in multiple areas that the museum has been carrying out and consolidating in recent years. A model that is based on considering the public service condition of the institution as essential, the need to incorporate complexity at all levels so as to have a programme that responds to the current times and to all the missions that must be faced, and the idea of simultaneously developing areas of action of a very diverse scale and nature. In 2023, the programme revolves around three major axes:
• reflection on humanity in crisis
• work on the medieval collections
• research on key topics for the knowledge of the museum, its history and its collection, which question us, reveal themselves to be current and are basic to projecting ourselves in a correct way towards the future
In this way, it is possible to promote the museum as an institution of research and knowledge, with all the work that is being carried out to grow, study and review the storytelling of the collections, produce projects on an international scale, work intensively on the decentralisation of the collection in close collaboration with the Network of Art Museums of Catalonia, and at the same time emphasise the social dimension, with projects of accessibility, inclusion and collaborative work with very diverse groups.
