The Joaquim Folch i Torres Library has received a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture to digitalise 79 documents that have been uploaded to the Arxiu de Revistes Catalanes Antigues – The Archive of Old Catalan Magazines (ARCA), an open access portal that includes old periodicals publications, and to the Memòria Digital de Catalunya – the Digital Memory de Catalonia (MDC), open access cooperative repository, from which digitalised collections related to Catalonia and its heritage can be consulted.

The goals achieved with the digitalisation of documents are to disseminate the library's collection, preserve them in digital format by conforming to technical criteria, maintain the state of conservation by reducing handling and encourage research, making works available to everyone that until now could not be consulted virtually.
