LaSal: art and militancy. Dialogue
LaSal: art and militancy. Dialogue
Thursday 16 June, 6:30 pm to 8 pm
Free activity, in-person and online. Booking necessary.
A cycle of three dialogues (8 June, 16 June and 13 September) based on the works of Roser Bru, Parvine Curie, Mari Chordà and Núria Pompeia in order to gain insight into the creators’ views on the experience of pregnancy. Artists and experts will reflect on different perspectives of pregnancy in artistic creation: the transformation of women’s bodies, feminist commitment, the celebration of fertility... but also on the most intimate problems that affect women in this process, such as the difficulties with becoming pregnant, grief over unborn babies and the violence of obstetrics.
- Thursday 16 June. LaSal: art and militancy
Artistic depictions of women’s bodies, as seen by two feminist artists from the group LaSal (1977-1990).
A dialogue between Mari Chordà and Elsa Plaza, moderated by Àlex Mitrani, curator of the exhibition
Coordinated by Mercè Ibarz, writer and cultural journalist.
