This December the museum has been one of the first 50 touristic companies to have obtained the certification of the  Biosphere commitment for the best sustainable practices, after passing the necessary requirements for implementing sustainability criteria and best practices in management.  These requirements are based on a manual of best practices included in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations and which contribute to creating a new model of sustainable tourism.  

Certification obtained thanks to the assessment of Barcelona City Council, Turisme de Barcelona and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
