It comes from the parish church of Arenys de Munt (Maresme). It was part of the main altarpiece of the parish church of Sant Martí d'Arenys de Munt, consisting of 19 compartments, of which 8 are in the MNAC, 11 in the temple (forming a new altarpiece) and 2 in an unknown whereabouts.
