Description:
Pla Janini first took up photography at the age of fourteen and worked at it throughout his life. He used pigment techniques, at which he was a virtuoso. Practically all of his works are bromoil transfers, which he exhibited at national and international photographic salons and which brought him his great reputation. He was one of the maximum exponents of Catalan pictorialism, which preached bucolic or spiritualised visions of nature and classically-inspired poetic scenes as the pinnacle of photographic art. This work belongs to the series 'Les parques'.
