For the first time an exhibition presents Antoni Campañà’s whole professional career and his three lives, and shines the spotlight on the photographs taken during the Spanish Civil War.
The exhibition shows us previously unseen photographs, never before developed, which Campañà deliberately hid in the red box. These photographs are combined with others from Campañà’s pictorialist period, loaned to the museum by the artist’s family.

Arnau Gonzàlez i Vilalta and Toni Monné, two of the exhibition’s curators, present a chronological review of the life and the different artistic periods of Antoni Campañà, a tireless photographer who tried to understand every area of the world of photography.
