This book presents the rigorous research of Jordi À. Carbonell about the production and life trajectory of Josep Tapiró i Baró (Reus, 1836 - Tangiers, 1913), the great orientalist watercolourist, a childhood friend of Fortuny, who lived in Tangiers most of his life where he portrayed characters most picturesque with an almost scientific realism.
