Josep PUIG i CADAFALCH, La Geografia i els orígens del primer art romànic. Barcelona: Institut d'Estudis Catalans, 1930.
A copy that is part of a run of 700 “publication paid for by the Institució Patxot”.
After L'arquitectura romànica a Catalunya, Puig i Cadafalch wished to show the area covered by early Romanesque art and trace the origins of the style. A valuable work, pioneering in its day, it is the result of direct research into the monuments in Europe, and in the photographic archives of several European and American libraries and universities.
The picture shows the part of the book dealing with the evolution of the monastery of Santa Maria in Ripoll.
