The exhibition Guests of Honour commemorates the 75th anniversary of the installation of the Museu d’Art de Catalunya in the Palau Nacional on Montjuïc. The 75 works on show, coming from museums and private collections in Catalonia, Spain and abroad, represent some of the high points in the history of Catalan art, from mediaeval, Romanesque and Gothic art up the art of the 1930s avant-garde. The articles in the catalogue raisonné have been written by specialists at the MNAC and by some of the finest specialists outside the Museum.
