Admitted to the Library in 1970.
Facsimile of a notable Hebrew manuscript that, when it was acquired by the British Library in 1865, originated the collection of Hebrew manuscripts.
This Haggadah was made in Barcelona or thereabouts, in 1320. Commissioned by a rich Jewish family, it is known as ”Golden” for the unusual gold leaf background of the 56 miniatures, corresponding to scenes from the biblical Books of Genesis and Exodus.
